چکیده
Climate change continues to pose a threat the sustainability of water resources while, need is increasing. In spite efforts made by state authorities build infrastructure, large majority population not having access drinking water. this study, Water Evaluation and Planning (WEAP) model was used current situation supply demands, create scenarios for future demands supply. The results show that, in contrast livestock sector, which has zero DNS, huge deficits are observed reference scenario. These unsatisfied (DNS) dominated rice irrigation. analysis evolution demand according growth shown that already scenario will reach 100.45 × 106 m3 2040. To mitigate effects such deficits, management optimization measures have been proposed. Strengthening urban centers from creation dams could considerably reduce deficits. an important decision support tool sustainable resource Lobo watershed. However, these strategies improve depend on government’s political economic opportunities.

Optimal allocation of water resources in Khanmirza watershed using WEAP
Abstract Constraints on water resources and increasing the number and variety of water users has led to appeal of the importance of optimal water allocation. The Khanmirza watershed in Chaharmahal Va Bakhtiari Province, has experienced unsustainable development by relying on groundwater resources. As a result of this imbalance, a dramatic drop occurred in the aquifer of the Khanmiza plain. Th...
متن کاملModeling Wastewater Management Options with a Water Evaluation and Planning Tool (weap) for Wadi Nar Watershed, West Bank, Palestine
Water supply is a critical issue in the Middle East, particularly in the West Bank and Gaza Strip (Palestine). Water resources are scarce due to the arid climate and the population growth while water resources management and development is complicated by the ongoing Israeli occupation. There is a critical lack of sanitation in the West Bank. Only 45% of the Palestinian population is connected t...
متن کاملEstimating the Available Water in the Watershed using System Dynamics Hydrological Model (Case Study: Ilam Watershed)
Hydrological models provide water managers with the available amount of water in the watershed. In this paper, we firstly developed a system dynamics model to calculate the available amount of water in the watershed. Then, we defined two scenarios one of which is the development scenario describing how land use changes can affect water availability in the watershed. Next, we divided the watersh...
متن کاملForecasting Urban Water Demand in California: Rethinking Model Evaluation
Urban water managers rely heavily on forecasts of water consumption to determine management decisions and investment choices. Typical forecasts rely on simple models whose criteria for selection has little to do with their performance in predicting out-ofsample consumption levels. We demonstrate this issue by comparing forecast models selected on the basis of their ability to perform well in-sa...
